Our Lansing Michigan Catering Story

A Catered Affaire’ Inc. was established in 1991 by two young men, Keith and Doyle, who had a vision and a passion to serve elegant delicious food to their communities. Over the years; they have provided countless meals and services throughout the Greater Lansing region as well as surrounding areas.

A wild ride and 31 years later, Keith and Doyle decided retirement would be their next adventure. They passed the torch to two young women, Jessie and Jessica who had been working alongside them for many years. Jessie and Jessica assumed ownership of A Catered Affaire’ Inc. in January 2022 with the same vision to continue the legacy that began so long ago.

Jessie Andrews has been in the catering hospitality industry since she was 14 years old. She started off with plating tables, serving guests, cleaning up after the events then moving into cooking and running the kitchen. Before you knew it, all the guests knew her by name and would request when she was cooking the meals.

Moving up in her experience she briefly worked for Hilton Grand Vacations taking an entry level position and within a few short months moving back into management and managing a staff of 20. She had the opportunity to work for Panera Bread coming in as a staff worker and within 6 months, was promoted to being the General Manager.

After running a successful location, she was presented with the opportunity to be mentored which led to purchasing A Catered Affaire´. She immediately thought of Jessica Schuiling whom she had worked with at Panera and invited Jessica to partner with her.

Jessica has been in the hospitality industry for 20 years, specifically restaurants and food service. She became a General Manager for Chili’s at the age of 23 years old. During her 11+ year tenure with the company she had the opportunity to successfully run 3 different locations. New opportunities arose for Jess, so she relocated to Lansing for a General Manager position with Panera Bread. Opening 3 successful Café’s, over her 5 years, she leaves for her next opportunity to now being a partner with A Catered Affaire´.

The women both reside in the Greater Lansing region with their families and look forward to serving you for your next catering event!
